Less Frustration, More Contentment: The Gospel Constants

If, as disciples of Jesus Christ, we are to grow in our knowledge of Contentment, we must begin with a solid knowledge and conviction about the Gospel Constants.

The GC are those truths emanating from the message of Scripture that have a direct impact on how we must approach life. They never change and provide a concrete foundation from where our consideration of emotions and circumstances must begin. They also delimit our range of options to respond to those emotions and circumstances, helping us to conduct our lives in a God-honoring way.

We can organize the GC in these categories:

1. The Person & the Work of the Triune God of the Universe.
2. His Holy Motives for redemption and judgment.
3. The condition of our hearts, before and after His intervention.
4. Our identity and inheritance in Him.
