The scary part of the Gospel

The Gospel can be scary because our flawed perception of reality often appears to make sense and work, while the Good News demands us not to rely on it. Therefore, it is not surprising that the Triune God of the Universe repeatedly reassures us to not be afraid while living life and promises to always be with us. Through His redemptive work in me, I can now perceive reality without my sin-shaped view, breaking free from the culture of performance I live in. With this newfound freedom, I can now serve others with humility, compassion, and generosity.
