His tender correction of my doubts and fears

I fear and have doubts.
My heart questions the reality of your Beauty,
and I give grounds to my enemies to convince me
it is OK to hide behind locked doors.

I fear and have doubts.
After seen you risen, after witnessing the power of
your resurrection, I still demand more evidence.
"I will not believe until I see" says my heart.

I fear and have doubts.
And yet you come. And yet you overcome my walls,
speaking "Peace be with you." Once again, you have
pursued me, surprising me with your persistent love.

And with your presence you correct my doubts and fears.
You point to the issues of my hear, to the real condition within.
"Do you now believe, huh?" exposes my unbelief.
Then, you remind me of your kingdom - others will do better.
Then, after restoring me, you call me to serve in that kingdom.

I fear and have doubts.
But you correct with tender and persistent and holy love.

Thanks.
