The Super Abundant Gospel of God

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Ephesians 3

The human heart carries these long, deep, and unquenchable desires for justice, compassion, mercy, and love. Regardless of our age, gender, or cultural background, we all know when any of these desires are not being fulfilled.

Due to His Holy Motives, the Triune God of the Universe provides us the only source of satisfaction that can fulfill those desires perfectly: Himself. But between Him and us, pushing against the intimate communion with Him that He offers, stands our sin. Our sin tries to convince us that we can find fulfillment somewhere else without the need to submit to His lordship. It works overtime to prove that the fake imitations of glory that we can now produce are as good as the original... or maybe even better!

That, beloved, is the Big Lie.

The Complete Truth is that the Gospel of His Grace will always give us abundantly more than we expect; that Holy Generosity is part of His character - that is how He always does things.

Do you long for justice? The Gospel is not only founded on perfect justice; it promises that justice will prevail. Do you desire mercy and compassion for you and for those disenfranchised? The Gospel of Grace demonstrates God's radical hospitality and inclusivity: there is no single type of person that is too far away that His Grace cannot reach them.

Do you want to love and be loved? The purpose of His Gospel is that you may know the dimensions, the glory of that love (please, read the whole chapter three of Ephesians)

What do you long for? Where do you find your satisfaction? Does it last?
